Happy Thanksgiving [Thursday
November 23rd, 2006
[ mood | thankful ]

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

I am so thankful this year

I am thankful for my family, especially my aunt mary, my friends, my opportunities, especially my trip to california with Taylor and Carrie, and the job that is paying for me to go there, the pistons are winning, old navy is having a 5 dollar sale at midnight in howell, and christmas and my birthday are coming!

I love my life right now

I love you too!

I haven't updated in FOREVER!

I don't have much to say, other than my birthday being in 25 days! Yay for me! Yay for 18!

That's kind of it I guess. Wow I'm boring huh?

Oh wait, one more thing! The guy across the street from me has one of those blow up lawn decorations, a bear dressed up like a Michigan fan. Well, it has a light suspended from its head inside it, so at night you can still see it. Unfortunately for Mr. Bear, the light has slipped to his nether regions, lighting up his crotch for the world to see. It's hilarious.

That's it I guess

I'm looking forward to Halloween. I love autumn. It's definately my favorite time of year. The trees changing colors, the trips to the cider mill (oooh sweet cider) and the balmy weather are amazing.

These are my current costume designs for the 31st.

1: Gladiator.
2: Twister board.
3: Maralyn Monroe.

Good yes? I'm excited. I'm going to be all three at one point or another. And I can always throw on the old Medusa costume if I get the desire. A rubber snake-hat... what's better?

In my online history class we have to post on a website to discuss parts of the book. Our question this week was about the Pilgrims, and whether or not they were brave or just diseased. Well, this one kid, named Huy-Huoeng La left this long post about how Americans are terrible, and everyone hates us. Not really the topic we were discussing. He then goes on to say that Mexico hates us because we "stole" Texas and New Mexico from them, and that Germany hates us because of WWII. So I left the idiot a message about how we BOUGHT Texas and comp. from Mexico in the Louisianna Purchase, and that Germany is over the whole Nazi thing. And now he hates me. Oh well, so Huy hates me. You can't please them all.

Taylor and I got named Editors-in-chief for the yearbook this year. Go us! We get to decorate Henzi's back room, so if you have anything, like bead curtains or christmas lights, let us know.

The Little Mermaid comes out next Tuesday. I'm beyond stoked.

Grey's Anatomy is on in 16 minutes. Got to go get mcready!

Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day!

I miss Retzer. aka the teacher who taught me about pirate day, kevin costner and his love of jfk, the amazing-ness of "mr. smith goes to washington" and everything that is good about America.

I worked today. And now I'm watching my future husband pitch for the Tigers. Verlander, duh. He just gave up a grand slam. For anyone who doesn't know baseball, that is bad. I still love him.

I stayed after school until 7:45 last night to decorate the Senior hallway for Homecoming. It was me, carrie, taylor, alex, kim and michelle. How lucky are you to have Senior officers who care as much as we do? The hallway looks amazing, so don't pull anything down. And yell at other students who do. I did today. I chewed a kid out who thought it was funny to pull down a lei with a star attatched and wear it like bling. loser.

The big game is Thursday. I'm betting on a loss. No! I take that back. I have such faith in my team. Look for me in the parade! Then the dance! So excited! Well, I'm gonna go try on my homecoming dress again.

John Mayer was awesome.
My life is complete now.
Except that I've seen him 4 times now so i guess my life is complete four-fold.
It was the best set he's ever done.
But damn that Sheryl Crow for limiting him to his Uncle John stories.
Oh well, I'm really not complaining about the concert AT ALL!

School is going splendidly.
Hope it's the same for all of you.

Here's to Us [Monday
September 4th, 2006
[ mood | aprehencious ]

In about 12 hours I will be sitting in first hour on the first day of my senior year. I'm depressed as hell that summer is over, excited that I get to see people blahblahblah, and so shocked that I'm actually a senior this year.

Looking back I can vividly remember carrying the big plastic tote with all of the lunch boxes in it to the cafeteria with Carrie in third grade. I can picture very clearly the last day of eighth grade in typing class with Cora, and my memories of last year at Glenn are going to be damn hard to beat.

I have the most wonderful life. School is hard and annoying, but I'm sure it's easier than anything else that's waiting for me out there. I have great friends, and I finally feel like I'm back in a really good place in my life family-wise. For me to ask for anything else would be really selfish, but typical me, I'm going to do it anyway.

I want this year to be all-time. No regrets, no drama, no sad days. We are seniors this year. That means we have 12 months before we have to go out and make something great out of our lives. We have 12 months to still be kids. And I want everyone of us to have the best 12 months that we could possibly have.

Here's to us class of 2007. We've made it this far and I'll be damned if I'm going to stop the good times with the finish line this close. Because there are going to be more races to run after this one, and I want those good memories to help me get through the uphill climbs.

john mayer is officially dating the skanky skank homewreakers of all skanky skank homewreakers. no, not paris hilton...

jessica simpson.

ew. i can't bring myself to think about it any longer.

i'm going to go cry and yearn for the days when jessica still loved nick, and john still loved playing the guitar more than playing the field.

Today was the annual John Glenn Leadership Symposium. What does that mean you ask? It means that Student council gets together with a bunch of freshmen and try to plan Homecoming. But what it really means is that Taylor, Carrie, Marissa, and me sit in the corner and crack jokes while we're supposed to be planning.

This is what we came up with. Homecoming theme: Tropical Paradise. Name of the dance: (okay I totally love this, because we threw it out there as a joke, so it's super funny sounding) Caribbean Nights: "It's Hulalicious!". lol. so funny. I wanted it to be Sand In Your Bottoms, but they said that was too weird. What Ev. Homecoming colors: Those of the sunset. Spirit Days: Monday will probably be Comfy day, Tuesday and Wednesday still have to be approved, Thursday is Spirit Day, since stupid Mr. Swinehart made Homecoming on a Thursday, and Friday is Dress Tropical day. Pep Rally games: Mr. Legs in Hula skirts, and some kind of Hula Hoop contest. I think that's it.

Anyway, the Senior Hallway has to be amazing this year, since we should have won the last three years, but we were robbed. So all of you have to stay after school and help. Thanks!

John Mayer in 14 days (eek!)

P.S. I have successfully gone to another country, and gotten back into it, but barely. I was almost detained at the border. My purse fell out of the car when the guy was talking to us, and he looked amused/pissed. It didn't help that everything fell out of my purse, and I had to get out and crawl under the car to get all of it. He almost got his tazer gun out. That stuff would only happen to me.

i haven't updated in forever.

i feel so lame.

so what have i been up too? hmm... working a lot. the section i work in is called the E.Z. it stands for estrogen zone. that means the only hot guys i see are out sweating their you-know-whats off in the yard. alas. how will i survive?

i went to the ashlee simpson concert with taylor, carrie, and kim on saturday. the only reason we went was because i got really good seats for free through work. we were planning on causing a scene and a ruckus, but she was actually really good. and she didnt lip sync. i'm now a fan.

the john mayer concert is in 35ish days. that makes me happy. but school starts then too and that makes me sad. but also happy, because i'll be a senior.

i think i'm going to have a barbeque and campfire before we start school again. i'm thinking the 19th. so keep that open. lol.

i leave for niagara falls in two weeks with my best girls, and chances are i won't update until i get back, so wish me safe travel. it'll be my first time in another country!

Wow. I havn't updated in a really long time.

Great news. I got John Mayer tickets. I'm so stoked to go. Me, Taylor, Kady, and Rissers are gonna be 20th row center stage on September 6th. So that's gonna be awesome. And yes, I will miss the third day of school. But I'm a senior now, so it doesn't matter.

I went golfing on Saturday with Taylor Carrie and Josh Per-something or other. I don't know his last name, but he goes to Wayne and he's pretty cool. I did terrible. Coach is going to be really mad when the season starts again. Oh well. I'm a senior, I don't care.

I went to lunch with Taylor Rissers and Alex today. It was fun. Taylor got a talking JFK doll, so she brought it to entertain Alex and scare Rissers. It was fun.

I need to get my hair cut. Any suggestions? They are very welcome, because I have no clue what to do.

I also need a boy to like, because I've completely run out.

Eh. I guess that's it. I'm super tired and I have to work tomorrow.

Holy Smokes

Today I began spying on the most attractive mechanic on god's green Earth.

I was at work, and I was walking downstairs to the mail room, when I happened to glance out the large window to my left at the mechanics working on the tractors below.

And my heart stopped beating.

There he was. Tan and covered in axle grease.

With a wife beater tank top on. *sigh* It's not fair that an article of clothing that sounds so bad can look so good.

Anyway, I've decided that anytime I get tired/bored/annoyed at work, he's going to be my pick-me-up.

Everyone else at my work is sort of boring.

Except the man-child that marches everywhere.

And the lady who is suspected to be in love with me.

And my boss who wears too tight polo shirts for his rotund belly, through which you can see the outline of his belly button, and the sweat ring around it.

Well that's alllllllll.

I've been off work the past three days, my only three vacation days until August, and yah know what I did with them? Nuthin'. It was nuthin' in a good way though.

Tuesday Taylor and me watched the Lifetime original movie on Mary Kay LaTurno. She was that 30 something teacher who slept with her 13 year old student, went to jail for seven years, gave birth to their second child in prison, got out of the slammer only to marry her now 20 year old former flame. It was surprisingly funny to watch.

Wednesday it was raining, so we rented movies. We got four of them for 2 dollars. One of them was called Jessica: A Ghost Story. I had to get it, because of the name thing. But it was really bad. The whole thing was filmed like those reinactments you see on America's Most Wanted. We turned it off with 45 minutes left.

Thursday was pretty fun. Rissers, Taylor and me watched the other movie we rented from Wednesday. It was called The Strangler's Wife. It was a very cliche horror movie, with ladies taking their tops off right and left. Oh well, their just boobs right? Then we watched the new episode of Hugh Hephner's reality show. Looking back at this day, I sound kind of like a perverted 11 year old boy. Oh well it happens.

Today was cool. I went to Frankenmuth with the fam. The most interesting thing that happened was I almost walked smack into a horse, and then there was a lady in an open-weaved lace top with just a bra on underneath. It was icky.

It's now officially Saturday, so I'm gonna catch some zee's before I turn into an old lady

First Day of Summer! [Wednesday
June 21st, 2006
[ mood | calm ]

Yay! It's the first day of summer! Sure, it's raining and it hasn't been this chilly in a week. But it's summer!

I slept in until 11:45 today. That's six whole hours later than I got up yesterday. To celebrate I went back to bed for another half an hour.

So I'm really excited for the Fourth of July. It's the best holiday. And the Westland Festival is coming. Just another chance to be oogled by Carnies and stranded at the top of a stalled ferris wheel.

I guess that's it
